ReplyDeleteI'm glad you are doing so well. I got diagnosed a year and a half ago with Chiari Malformation Type 1 with other complications and they didn't think that the chiari was the cause. Now that I am having dizzy spells, double vision, headaches again, they are sending me for another MRI because they are questioning if it progressed. Your story inspires me.

They were looking to diagnose why she has failed several hearing tests and accidentally discovered the Chiari Malformation. How terrible that you had to go all those years without a diagnosis. Dr's don't know everything. She doesn't have any symptoms right now that we know of but she is only 11. I am honestly more nervous after reading your blog because I thought Chiari Type I didn't have many symptoms or complications. I've just read a few of your entries so far. I will read more. Thank you for creating this blog. It is a great resource.
